Why cant I listen to my music while playing??

I just want to listen to my music and play cards with a friend. But I cant. The layout gets worse with every update. The opponents cards are so small now Im need glasses just to see what theyve played.

And last, Ive purchased this game but my friend hasnt. And I cant play my nice ad-free version if I want to play against him. So now I have to use the free version or my friend has to buy the game.
